Match each category to its bottleneck

Conveyor belts start at 60 items per minute. Logistics Efficiency improves belt speed; check the current rate when deciding how many machines one line can supply.

Factory Efficiency changes machine and cauldron speed and heat behavior, but it does not affect nurseries.

Fuel Efficiency raises fuel heat value and lowers fuel cost. It becomes especially useful when Blast Potions and Paradox Crucibles are part of the production plan.

Fertilization Efficiency adds 10% fertilizer effectiveness per point, making it the crop-output category.

Alchemy improves Alembic and Extractor output, while Throwing Efficiency improves Cannon and Catapult speed and can be skipped unless belts are already maxed.

Customer Management improves quest rewards, adds one daily quest per four points, reaches four random daily quests at 12 points, and adds 20% rewards per point after 12.

Relic Knowledge increases the experience received from consumed relics, so it addresses skill-point growth rather than a physical production line.

Progression priorities and point resets

How should I choose the next upgrade?
Follow the active bottleneck: use Customer Management early, Fertilization Efficiency at tier 5, then raise Logistics and Factory Efficiency together one point at a time so cauldron ratios survive. Later, prioritize Alchemy before Relic Knowledge.
Why does fertilizer become important at tier 5?
Advanced fertilizer arrives at tier 5, when demand for Flax, Sage, and Red Currant rises, making Fertilization Efficiency the targeted response.
What is the late-game upgrade order?
At tier 9 and beyond, prioritize Alchemy because Alembic-produced Brandy can bottleneck Blast Potions and Aqua Vitae, Panacea Potions need Aqua Vitae, and Fairy Dust and Star Dust conversions use the same devices. Follow with Relic Knowledge while consuming Venus, Mercury, Luna, and Sol; it often becomes the central skill after 200 points.
Where do skill points come from in version 1.0?
Skill points come from experience earned by feeding items to a Knowledge Altar. The altar can break down any item, while relics grant additional experience.
How can I reset an unsuitable allocation?
Stockpile relics in boxes, reset your points, place every point into Relic Knowledge, and consume the stockpile through as many altars as needed. Reset again afterward and restore the working setup. Early points are generally more useful in profit and efficiency skills than in Relic Knowledge.
Which current changes affect upgrade planning?
Non-production devices now require Workbench unlocks. Shop sales upgrades were reworked, and purchase-contract upgrades were removed. Heating devices lost their base heat cost, items sell at their pickup-time price, and Cannon and Catapult target selection was adjusted.
