Build the three-stage fuel chain
Use a Table Saw to process Logs into Planks, producing 1 Plank in 2 seconds of recipe time. Feed 1 Plank into a Crucible to produce 1 Charcoal in 4 seconds.
Feed 1 Charcoal into a Grinder to produce 1 Charcoal Powder in 4 seconds. The complete chain is Logs to Planks, Planks to Charcoal, and Charcoal to Charcoal Powder.
Fuel routing, belt limits, and blueprint reuse
- How should Charcoal Powder connect to furnace demand?
- Route the Grinder output toward storage or the furnace supply line. Charcoal Powder has a listed heat value of 48, and a Stone Furnace heats devices above it after fuel is added. Its fuel can be refilled automatically by conveyor belt, and the furnace costs 20 Stone to build.
- How many machines should share one belt?
- Default conveyor belts move 60 items per minute. Two Table Saws can produce 60 planks per minute, while adding more to that single belt can clog it and prevent the line from operating at its optimal rate.
- How can I save and reorganize the finished blueprint?
- Shift-click and drag to select the complete layout, press F to confirm the selection, and press H to save it. In the blueprint directory, select a saved blueprint and drag it to the location where you want it stored.
