Shop Recognition is the progression system
Shop Recognition replaces the old Reputation system. Obtain Shop Recognitions to increase shop reputation and profits; customer feedback at purchase no longer changes Reputation.
Shop sales upgrades were reworked and purchase-contract upgrades were removed. Their bonuses were integrated into Shop Recognition, so plan progression around those recognitions rather than the former upgrade routes.
Make room for more customer routes
- Customers can reach upper floors. Plan clear paths through a multi-story shop so customers can access the displays on those levels.
- The original shop entrance can be removed, and multiple shop gates can be built at different locations to suit the layout.
- A Grand Portal connects distant cities and brings additional customers to the shop. Its benefit comes from opening that connection; building extra Grand Portals will not increase customer traffic.
Common assumptions to replace
- Will repeated positive purchase feedback raise Reputation?
- Purchase feedback no longer affects Reputation. The progression route is obtaining Shop Recognitions, which improve reputation and profits.
- Do I need another Grand Portal for another shop floor?
- Additional Grand Portals will not increase customer traffic. Customers can reach upper floors through the shop navigation system, so focus on the paths through the expanded building.
